Naomi Watts Online started as an idea in March 2005. After talking to my dear
friend Kathy, and
discussing how there wasn't a good updated site on Naomi and how most sites
seemed to have disappeared, so I decided to work on a site for Naomi. After
doing the basics two weeks after that conversation, Naomi Watts Online opened
its doors to the public on March 14, 2005. It started out as a small fansite
with basic information on Naomi and a gallery with a few hundred pictures. Before
I knew it NWO was becoming the best reliable source for Naomi fans. The site was
beginning to grow at a fast rate. And with this growth came the decision to buy
the site its well deserved domain. In July 2005 naomiwatts.org was registered at
GoDaddy and still hosted by the
wonderful Gertie at Fan-Sites.org.
By the end of July 2005 NWO once again re-opened its doors to the public under a new
URL. With King Kong's release drawing near, NWO grew to become the largest fansite
dedicated to Naomi. What started out as a small tribute to this British beauty, it
is now the largest fansite that also houses the largest image archive which now has
over 30,000 images.
