New mom Naomi Watts has a special keepsake to mark her son’s birth – a diamond and platinum locket holding his photo.
The heart pendant, a gift from Watts’ long-term partner Liev Schreiber, was reportedly designed by the actor and jeweller Neil Lane.
A pal tells In Touch magazine, “It was a very special gift for her. Liev helped Neil with it after hours.” The Hollywood couple welcomed baby Alexander last month (July 25, 2007).
Naomi has signed on to another project, in this one she will be co-staring with Clive Owen.
Los Angeles (Hollywood Reporter) – Naomi Watts has signed on to star opposite Clive Owen in “The International,” an action thriller that Tom Tykwer is directing for Columbia Pictures.
The plot centers on an obsessive Interpol agent (Owen) who spearheads an investigation into one of the world’s most high-profile and powerful banking institutions in an attempt to expose them for worldwide arms brokering, corruption and murder. Watts will play a Manhattan assistant district attorney who partners with the agent to take down the bank.
Eric Singer wrote the screenplay.
Watts, who most recently starred in “The Painted Veil,” next stars opposite Viggo Mortensen in David Cronenberg’s “Eastern Promises.”
There’s no hiding Naomi Watts’ baby bump. With her first child due in just weeks, the A-list Aussie actor, who earlier this year was coy about her pregnancy, was seen out and about in Beverly Hills last week.
Dressed in casual, non-designer sun frock and a pair of thongs, Watts looked incredibly relaxed.
Her outfit was a far cry from the usual couture threads she wears on the red carpet.
Partner Liev Shreiber was nowhere to be seen.
The high-profile couple told media at the Tony Awards in New York last month that they had wed, but have since admitted it was a joke.

The script by “Hotel Rwanda” director Keir Pearson is based on the book that bears the movie’s same title, about a South African woman who traveled the world with her adopted child raising awareness on discrimination, the magazine said.
