Our beloved Naomi turns 41 today! On behalf of Naomi Watts Online we would like to wish her a very wonderful day with her loved ones.
Slumdog Millionaire starlet Freida Pinto and Australian actress Naomi Watts are to feature in Woody Allen’s next film, alongside Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins, US media said on Tuesday.
“This year’s Cinderella at the Oscar ball will join the long list of Allen’s muses as she takes on the ingenue role in the… still-untitled pic,” industry paper Variety reported.
The two actresses have been cast for the London-set flick, financed by the makers of Allen’s latest hit, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the report said.
Just 24 years old, Pinto hit the big time with her role in Slumdog Millionaire, which won eight Oscars on Sunday, including best picture and best director.
Set in Pinto’s home town of Mumbai, the movie tells the story of a impoverished young love-struck orphan who beats the odds to win Who Wants to be a Millionaire? while recapturing his long-lost-love Latika, played by Pinto.

When it comes to Shakespeare’s tragedies, King Lear never made the short list of personal favorites. Maybe it was Cordelia, one of the biggest doormats in dramatic history, or maybe a play about madness and aging isn’t best served to high school students. But, as long as there are actors who want to sink their teeth into lines like, “As flies to wanton boys, are we to the gods. They kill us for their sport”, then the mad king will live on. The Guardian has now confirmed that Naomi Watts will be joining Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow as the ‘daughters Lear’ in the big-budgeted version of Shakespeare’s classic play, also starring Anthony Hopkins.
The story of Lear centers on a mighty king dividing his estate among his three daughters: Cordelia (Knightley), Regan (Paltrow) and Goneril (Watts). When Cordeila is unable to blow enough smoke up the royal butt, she is disowned, and the lion’s share of the throne goes to her sisters. But we all know about ‘fatal flaws’ in Shakespeare, and it turns out that Regan and Goneril are hardly the loving daughters they claimed to be.

I am so sorry if its taking me longer than expected to move the entire gallery, but it is a lot of work for one single person to move 30,000+ images. Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that I have added some HQ photos from the premiere of 21 Grams in Mexico City. The photos are old, but nonetheless is always great to see stuff that hasn’t been posted before.
As you can all see we have a brand new look. The other layout was great and I really loved it, but the site was in a much needed change. This gorgeous layout was designed by my very good friend Kathy. I am really pleased with the way it turned out and loved the colors she used. Some things around the site have changed, as well as removed completely from the site. Take a look around and enjoy the new Naomi Watts Online.
