Synopsis
In a tour-de-force performance, Naomi Watts captures the rhythms, trials and tribulations of an actor
caught up in the whirlwind of her career before retreating to a personal life that is as chaotic as her
professional one. Ellie races around town from one audition to another, changing make-up, clothes and
personality as she speeds along, barely attending to her whirlwind life as she strives to get cast in a
movie. And her best friend Sam (Rebecca Rigg), her boyfriend Justin (Mark Pellegrino) and her new fling
Chris (Scott Coffey) just don`t seem to help. As Ellie considers giving up after losing faith in the craft,
her manager Dennis (Chevy Chase) doesn`t exactly talk her out of it. Brimming with humor and filmed in a
quasi-vérité style, the emotionally riveting Ellie Parker is transcendent filmmaking.
An official selection in the Sundance Film Festival, 2005.

Dr. (2001), which features both Naomi Watts and Scott Coffey.
- Director Scott Coffey met actress Naomi Watts for the first time when they starred together in Tank Girl (1995).
- While this movie and the original short version (Ellie Parker (2001)) feature Jennifer Syme, Scott Coffey's and
