There’s no hiding Naomi Watts’ baby bump. With her first child due in just weeks, the A-list Aussie actor, who earlier this year was coy about her pregnancy, was seen out and about in Beverly Hills last week.

Dressed in casual, non-designer sun frock and a pair of thongs, Watts looked incredibly relaxed.
Her outfit was a far cry from the usual couture threads she wears on the red carpet.

Partner Liev Shreiber was nowhere to be seen.

The high-profile couple told media at the Tony Awards in New York last month that they had wed, but have since admitted it was a joke.

The pair have been together since 2005 and starred in The Painted Veil together.

They announced the pregnancy in February.

“She’s great,” Shreiber recently said, of Watts, 38.

“She hasn’t had any strange cravings. In fact, I’ve never seen anyone handle a pregnancy so well. She’s amazing.”

Shreiber, 39, said the couple had chosen not to find out the sex of the baby.

Nor have they decided on a name for their child: “I really don’t know. I wanted to know – she doesn’t.”

Watts, who grew up in the UK before moving to Australia at 14, has previously dated actor Heath Ledger.

She emerged as a Hollywood star in 2001 after her performance in David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive and has since scored roles in films including King Kong and The Ring.

Watts, the best friend of fellow Australian actress Nicole Kidman, was also nominated for an Oscar in 2003 for her role in 21 Grams.

She will star next in an adaptation of We Are All The Same, the story of a white South African woman who adopts a black child with AIDS.
